Through this journey of developing U.G.L.Y.  Utah Girls Love You, we have seen our share of negativity. But truly understanding that our reaction is key to changing the negative into a positive.  With U.G.L.Y. starting from the basement floor with a small idea and we still have the passion and drive to stomp our way to make differences here in Utah, it is truly our ULTIMATE goal for U.G.L.Y.

U.G.L.Y. is enjoying sticking to our motto of  “Positive = Positive”.

We are pushing to spread the word and give our message. The message that has saved our lives and also given us the strength to continue to grow with our personal goals. Message: Be strong, educated, spiritual, giving individuals. We are here to make the differences needed to help anyone that is willing to find growth, love, and happiness from our message.

So, time for trying new things, taking chances on yourself, and breaking down the walls in order to be yourself.

U.G.L.Y. wants to wish everyone a thriving and productive Thursday. The challenge for today is to make someone smile with compliment or even just a smile. We never know what others have on their plate and we can not assume we know what someone is thinking or feeling. It's a simple challenge today and we hope everyone takes this challenge from U.G.L.Y. with offering a small gesture of kindness and we hope it is to a stranger. So, get out there and help make in a difference in someone day or maybe their life.

We have been on a mission here at Utah Girls Love You to offer a helping hand to whom wants take our gestures to make a difference in people's lives with simple things such as; accepting and loving people no matter their status or circumstances. OUR GOAL IS TO JUST BE ACCEPTING TO ALL FELLOW UTAHNS OR AMERICANS, THIS IS SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TO US AND TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN DIVERSITY, NONJUDGMENTAL, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ALWAYS OFFER A HELPING HAND TO THOSE WHOM ARE NEED!!!!!

Happy Wednesday!! aka Hump day!!

U.G.L.Y. wants wish everyone a wonderful and productive Wednesday/ Hump day. We are have half through this week, take a deep breath and the weekend will be here. We are coming upon the last warm days here in Utah. The weather is not to predictable after September, we can turn and have snow on the ground, rather than on the peaks of our beautiful Rocky mountains. Like we all witness just a couple weeks ago in July in the middle of July we had snow on the mountains. Only in Utah but that is why we love it here so much its completely unpredictable.  

U.G.L.Y. is sticking by our motto Positive=Positive

Happy Tuesday!!!

U.G.L.Y. wants to wish everyone a wonderful and productive Tuesday. We have been given the opportunity to give a helping hand to several families with clothing for the children.  We have been seeking families that made need a little bit of help with back to school and make sure the kids have appropriate items needed for school. Through donations, we have been given the opportunity to collect clothes and in turn give them out to the public with no cost. Through community awareness we have been able to reach out to individuals who are wanting to help themselves and looking for other opportunities in life. These families are incredible they will offer the shirt off their backs before taking any hand outs.

U.G.L.Y. has been able to empathize on more of a personal level with these families, especially the single mommy's. I can tell you all on a personal level, that it is not a easy thing to do and just get by day by day. Wondering each day to yourself,"how will we will make it through the day!" It is true a challenge each day to provide a warm meal, appropriate clothes, and last but not least provide a stable roof over the kiddos heads. So, we are wanting to give a helping hand to single mommy with our Single mommy project we are developing as we blog today.  We will send out information soon please stay tuned to see what will we doing with this great service project and where you can get involve with this awesome helping hands.

We need the bakers, engineers, construction workers, nurses, and list is endless. Everyone that is apart of the workforce is important and we give our gratitude for the hard work that is given each day. Thank you.

Winners for mini scholarship..

U.G.L.Y. wants to wish everyone a Fabulous and productive day!!! Are excited to share the winners to U.G.L.Y. Back to school mini scholarship. Although, we had a late start with the program, we were able to help four local Utahns scholars. With the help of friends and other local Utahns the kiddos we were able to go and pick out one fabulous new outfit, new shoes, socks, and back packets for their first day of school.

It was an amazing experience to spend this time with these gracious, sweet, and bright children. The time we were able to spend with these kids, was a great eye opener and appreciation factor for my family. All of our friends and family that volunteered their time from the night before school to come help with helping hands service Thank you from the bottom of my heart and blowing you all a big kiss and hug from me to you all. The children that were the recipients to the Back to school mini scholarship have been so gracious to the entire experience, they have sent us thank yous notes and we will share them throughout this weekend with pictures of the kiddos picking out their outfits, shoes,and back packets.

So, we will have a little video of the shopping night that we will post this weekend and we have to give a Shout out  and thanks to the American Fork Old Navy for accommodating the late night shopping spree.

Back-to-school mini scholarship

U.G.L.Y.‘s is excited by the amount interest of locals giving a helping hand with our Back to School mini scholarship. This mini scholarship was designed to give back to local kiddos. Starting back to school with excitement for a new year of learning and gaining social skills. Anything helps to give a young local utahn happy beginning to this school year (2014-15).

Utah Girls Love You believes that every Utah child deserves to go Back-to-school, excited to begin a new year of learning and sharpening up on their social skills.                Positive=Positive

U.G.L.Y. has become aware of struggling families unsure if their children will have any school items needed when school starts, which is just around the corner. So, U.G.L.Y. is reaching out to friends, family, and any local businesses that would like to give a helping to Utah’s future scholars.

Our goal is to help at least one boy and girl (elementary age at this point, but we are hoping to help many more.) with the needed items for

                              BACK-To-SCHOOL 2014-2015

Anything will help, here are a few ideas: backpacks, school supplies, gift cards. Our hope is to supply each child a backpack, new shoes, and outfit for the first day of school.
